We Can Help You Find Special Ed Teachers!
 
 

TWO WAYS:
Colorado Learning will endeavor to help you find Special Ed teachers in two different ways.  First of all, we will try to set you up with a licensed experienced special ed teacher.  These kinds of teachers are in short supply, so if all of our special ed teachers have been hired by other schools at this point, we can offer you an alternative via Teach-Con.  Read on to find out more.

 
TEACH-CON:
Through a program we call TeachCon, Colorado Learning LLC wants to help your school / district to find what has in the past been extremely difficult to find, qualified special ed teachers!   We call this program TeachCon because it is all about “Teacher Conversation”.    

CONVERSION:
The conversion process is all about reducing the oversupply of elementary teachers (hundred if not thousands can’t find jobs in Colorado) and converting them into Special Ed teachers (which are in short supply).  This conversion is a logical one and an efficient one.

OUR ROLE:
Colorado Learning’s role in the conversion is to supply your school / district with logical candidates for this conversion.  If you hire one of these candidates, we will help guide you and the candidate through the options for training.

TRAINING:
Once hired, the teacher candidate will be in a position where they can apply to a training program.  Once accepted into the training program, these teachers will all be licensed in special ed during the upcoming school year, and they will receive ongoing training all year long!  The training is rigorous and specific to the area of special ed.  It will be administered by one of the designated agencies approved for special ed training within the CDE sanctioned Alternative Licensure Program, or via an S.E.E. program. 

STATEWIDE:
These teachers are available for employment anywhere in the state of Colorado (even in extremely rural/isolated locations). 

EXPERIENCED:

Many of these teachers are already licensed in at least one other endorsement area, and have received formal and professional training as a teacher (which includes student teaching thus giving them classroom experience).  Many of them have other experience teaching in addition to student teaching.  Only a very small percentage of the candidates will have no experience teaching.  These teachers will have an SOE from CDE endorsed in elementary (and or even Special ed).
